How Do I Access Psychological Services?
Anyone can see a psychologist. There are a number of methods and fees depending on your specific circumstances, including:
Medicare: a valid GP referral with a Mental Health Care Plan is required in order to claim Medicare rebates.

Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA): White and Gold card holders can access Psychology with a valid GP referral. Find out more here.
Private Health: if you have extras cover for Clinical Psychology Rachel will provide you with a paid invoice to submit to your health fund for reimbursement.
Private referrals: self-funded clients are able to see Clinical Psychologists
Workcover: Rachel is an approved provider for Workcover and will require your claim number and approval by Workcover before commencement of sessions.
How Many Sessions Am I Entitled To?
As an independent client you are able to access as many sessions as required.
Clients who have a Mental Health Care Plan are able to access 10 individual psychological therapy sessions per calendar year. Contact your GP to discuss eligibility .
DVA provide initial treatment cycle of 12 sessions to be reviewed following report to GP
Workcover is dependent on the number of sessions allocated and may be reviewed.
